Regardless of MGTools or MG-Picker Studio, the same rule applies.
For the floating license, as long as the license is still valid, it is always free to upgrade to any newer version of the tool. End of story.
For the node-locked license, that depends:
- For patch version upgrade like v1.0.0 to v1.0.1, it will always be free;
- For minor version upgrade like v1.0 to v1.1, it is very likely free, it is never charged before.
- For major version upgrade like v1 to v2, it is likely to come with a cost, but in reality, like MGTools pro2 to MGTools pro3, it is still a one-off free upgrade.
